Ice Spice Enlists Central Cee For "Did it First"

GRAMMY®-nominated rapper and pop culture icon Ice Spice has joined forces with UK chart-topper Central Cee on the explosive new single "Did It First." Showcasing what Pitchfork describes as her “diabolical knack for hooks,” Ice Spice fiercely declares, “If he cheating, I’m doing him worse / No uno, I hit the reverse/ I ain’t trippin’, the grip in my purse / I don’t care, cuz he did it first.” Central Cee, in his verse, struggles to conceal his infidelities, admitting, “If I went court for all the times I got caught / I’d have about 16 felons.” The single, along with its official video, can be listened to and viewed online.

Ice Spice and Central Cee have been teasing the single all week, generating massive buzz and amassing over 42 million views on TikTok, with more than 10,500 creations using the official sound. "Did It First" is a track from Ice Spice’s upcoming debut album, Y2K!, set for release on July 26 via 10K Projects/Capitol Records. The album, which is now available for pre-order, also features recent hits like “Think U The Shit (Fart),” “Gimmie A Light,” and “Phat Butt,” the latter praised by People for its "braggadocious" style. Ice Spice recently performed “Think U The Shit (Fart)” at the BET Awards 2024.

Following a series of European festival performances, including the Wireless Festival in London, Ice Spice is set to bring her Y2K! WORLD TOUR to North America. The tour kicks off on July 30 at The Anthem in Washington, DC, and includes two shows at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City on August 6 and 7, and a performance at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on August 19. Tickets for the tour are now available.

Ice Spice's 2023 debut EP, Like..?, earned her spots on numerous year-end best-of lists from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times. With hits like “Munch (Feelin U),” the Platinum-selling “In Ha Mood,” and “Princess Diana,” Ice Spice has ascended to the top of the rap game, earning a slew of awards including two People’s Choice Awards, an MTV VMA, a BET Hip-Hop Award, and the Hitmaker Award at the 2024 Billboard Women In Music event.
